About the International Peace Project
The International Peace Project, founded in 1998 by Farah Michelle Kimball, grew out of the Santa Barbara Peace Coalition. Her experience in Iraq in 1998 - in which she and dozens of others violated the US/UN imposed sanctions, and brought food and medicine to the people there - inspired her to develop an organization that would bring like-minded groups together to raise awareness of the tragic humanitarian crisis occurring there. The International Peace Project continued to participate in events promoting peace through dialogue, educational outreach and musical events.
